Run With Angels was created by Thomas and Nancy Nye to remember their lovely daughter, 4-year old Addison Nye. Addison’s love of running and the healing they eventually received by walking after her passing, lead them to create the Run With Angels 5K. They believe that being present in the moment, smelling the air, feeling the pain, laughing and crying during their walks was absolutely necessary in healing from their grief. It’s what inspired them to create this benefit walk/run.
After four years, Run With Angels has been proud to donate over $200,000 to the following charities: Sharon S. Richardson Hospice, Bookworm Gardens, Shaw Family Playground and Lemons of Love. Embarking on our seventh year, we are proud to send our proceeds to Mental Health America in Sheboygan County to support their bereavement services and suicide prevention programs.
The Run With Angels 5k is an opportunity for all of us to walk or run in someone’s honor and to take the time to say, I love you and I miss you. View the Run With Angels schedule of events on the Registration page for more information.
“Thank You” Doesn’t Quite Cut It
Special thanks are extended to Bob and Connie,(owners of The Blind Horse) and the community for their support.
